IDnow Plattform

Take account of the new regulatory requirements today.

On the one hand, advancing digitalisation is forcing the entire telecommunications industry to adapt and streamline business processes; on the other, it is faced with a high risk of fraud. In order to counter this while also meeting the increasingly stringent legal and regulatory standards that are coming into effect with the modernisation of the German Telecommunications Act (TKG), the identity verification platform from IDnow provides the appropriate solution at all times.

We offer you flexible and straightforward access to a wide range of KYC solutions and services – such as identification methods that are NFC-based, supported by video chat or even automated, for example. There is also an option for digital support at the point of sale or a qualified electronic signature (QES), which enables contracts to be signed quickly online.

Meet your requirements for KYC identity verification and IDnow’s highly flexible platform and profit from our wealth of experience. Integrating the IDnow platform is as simple as it is fast and provides scalable solutions that are suitable for companies of all sizes.

Use Cases

Verifying customers’ identity for pre-paid cards.

The anonymous use of pre-paid cards by terrorists and criminals in particular represents a considerable security risk. Therefore, since mid-2017, section 111 of the German Telecommunications Act (TKG) has obliged telecommunications companies to require a valid identity document for verification purposes at all times before activating a pre-paid card. This check can be carried out in a simple, straightforward way via video chat using video-based identity verification or also with the aid of an NFC-based solution for an electronic German identification card, for example. These methods of identification are not only seamless, but also AML-compliant and support a high conversion rate thanks to effective processes.

AML‑compliant, agent‑assisted video chat identification.

Digital support at the point of sale.

Companies require identification data from their customers at the point of sale for almost all business transactions. In most cases, the employee copies the means of identification and enters the data in the system manually. This can lead to data transfer errors and slows down and hinders the ordering and identification process.

With our solution, the identification images and data are captured digitally and automatically transferred to your CRM tool – in encrypted form and in compliance with data protection. The salesperson is guided through the sequence of identification parameters step by step and has the opportunity to add any missing data. The actual identity verification then takes place based on a summary of the customer data.

Conclusion of contracts.

Instead of obtaining a handwritten signature, we offer you the additional flexibility of concluding contracts with your customers digitally online with eSign. This is possible by means of a qualified electronic signature (QES) that is equally valid from a regulatory and legal point of view.
